A community of people with lived experience
The Lymphoedema Association Australia (LAA) was formed in December 2021, as part of an initiative between the eastern state support groups,
Lymphoedema Association Queensland, Lymphoedema Association Victoria and Lymphoedema Support Group New South Wales,
as well as reps from the ACT and Tasmania. Across Australia, support groups and associations have been working tirelessly for the last 30 years
to provide support, information, to raise awareness about lymphoedema and to advocate for better treatment. However, they have each been
struggling and duplicating their efforts. Together we are stronger and can not only combine our efforts, but can also bring these resources to states
and territories that have not previously had local associations or groups.
