A community of people with lived experience

Tasmania

The LAA encourages people to choose a trained Lymphoedema Therapist for diagnosis and treatment.  We encourage our community to ask their therapist if they have qualifications in training which certifies them to appropriately treat and diagnose Lymphoedema.  Your therapist can also provide advice on the condition, help with compression garment fittings and ongoing management. Treatment for lymphoedema can be accessed through private or public services. This varies depending on where you live.

The Australasian Lymphology Association has a National Lymphoedema Practitioner Register (NLPR). You can find an accredited therapist on their website. Click here to go to the “Find a practitioner” search on the ALA website.

Dr. Vodder School International also has a register of Lymphoedema Therapists on their website. Click here to go to the “Find A Professional” search on the Vodder School International website.

As the Lymphoedema Association Australia grows and expands, we look forward to working with you to improve availability and access of treatment services. Over time, we will continue to add to this page. By becoming a member, you will be kept up to date with progress.
